OLD SCHWINN LE TOUR

We first cleaned the dust, cobwebs, and greasy mess from the bike with warm soapy water. Next we perform an inspection to determine what what we need to repair and replace.

PHOTOS OF THE INSPECTION RESULTS

FRAYED CABLES

CABLE ENDS FRAYED

CABLE HOUSINGS WORN OUT

TIRES ROTTED

TORN HANDLEBAR PADDING

BENT CHAIN GUARD

We will need to replace all the cables and housings. We'll also be replacing the tires and tubes and we will wrap the handlebars with cork tape. The chain guard can be straightened. There is minor rust that we will try to get rid of when we disassemble the bike for clean and relube of the bearings. At that time we will also check and lube the chain.
